Oligoetherols and polyurethanes with carbazole ring in side chain

Abstract

The epoxide ring of 9-(2,3-epoxypropyl)carbazole (EPC) opening occurred to give the semiproduct well soluble in ethylene oxide (EO) and propylene oxide (PO) and reactive towards these oxides at temperature above 60°C to form oligoetherols. Application of these oligoetherols for syntheses of linear polyurethanes was studied in details.
