Toxicity assessment of methacryloyloxyethyl phosphorylcholine/selenium nanocomposite in case of oral squamous cell carcinoma

Abstrakt

This research was conducted to evaluate the anticancer activity of methacryloyloxyethyl phosphorylcholine/selenium (MPC/Selenium) nanocomposite on oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) cells. Using the Taguchi method, optimal conditions for synthesizing the nanocomposite via direct mixing synthesis were determined. The structural, chemical, and physical properties of the nanocomposite and its components were evaluated through various characterization techniques. Additionally, the cytotoxicity and cell viability of the nanocomposite at different concentrations were assessed on cultured cells using the MTT assay. The results demonstrated that the synthesized nanocomposite exhibited high anticancer activity, suggesting its potential as a novel therapeutic agent for oral cancer treatment. This study is significant as it highlights the potential of MPC/Selenium nanocomposite as an innovative and effective approach to combating oral cancer.
